About the Artist

Val Parnell Fine Art    Virginia Beach, VA

"While out in nature, to push the oils on canvas to describe the movements of creatures and the land only happens in a space of time.  To relive and be enjoyed for a later moment, to be able to go back again and again is to honor the past and memories of our lives and to bring us joy and sometimes just thoughts." Val Parnell

Val has been painting for the last 18 years.  Having taken art classes in college and attended many workshops over time with amazing artists, Andras Bality, Sara Linda Poly, Laura Loe, Carole Boggemann Peirson, Nancy Tankersley and more, she is always learning and growing as an artist, developing her style and talents. She Attended the first Plein Air Live with Eric Rhodes during summer of 2020, learning from a number of well-known artists from around our world. She has had the pleasure of learning from master painters and artists from all over our world. She continues painting today with a close group of Artist friends, and enjoying the artist community.
